Windows 10: Windows 11 Apps/File Search Function Doesn't Work As Expected

Hi,The Windows 11 apps search function doesn't work properly when I try to find the app with the app's name keyword. This issue cannot be found on Windows 10, could you please help to advise?Windows Version: Version 21H2 22000.6131. Apps for example Windows Assessment Console appeared after start button under recommended section2. If Start > Key in "Windows Assessment" > Windows fail to search for the app.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

thanks for your suggestion, and no, the windows search index was not the problem. it's the mail app that does not work as expected:

expected behavior:

1. type a keyword
2. return search results containing that keyword

observed behavior:

1. type a keyword
2. no results
3. search online
4. still no results and no error msg

 

Outlook's search function is not working

I suggest you ask in www.elevenforum.com

Outlook uses Windows search capabilities to do its searches so, in your ElevenForum post, I suggest you also comment on how File explorer search is behaving
And confirm that you really are referring to MSOffice Outlook not merely the built-in email app or the online service outlook.com and do state your MSOffice version.

It's only a guess, but I think you might find that your indexed locations have been messed up. So you could set them back up the way you want them then reset-rebuilt the index.
