Windows 10: Windows 11 asks for password to access network shares despite passwords not required.

Hi, I have a network with 1 Windows 11, 1 Windows 8.1, and 2 Windows 7 pcs. The Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 PC's can all access each other but none can access the Windows 11 pc and it cannot access any of the shares on any of the other pcs. The Windows 11 network and shares have been setup as per Microsoft's instructions but despite this the network has never worked properly. I can access the internet fine but not the LAN.Password requirements are turned OFF on all pcs yet when trying to access a share from Windows 11 it askes for network credentials.I have several folders shared on the win

Network share to require login

Alright what i am trying to do is have a password, or login required to access some shared folders on a computer. All computers are using XP Pro SP2, now i have had situations in the past were i try to access a shared folder over the network on a laptop and it asks for a username and password before it will let me access it. This is what i am trying to setup. Even if i was able to assign the folder permissions for a specific user account.

Any help?

I would like to know;

• Do you have any other user account or is the issue specific to your user account?
• Are you able to share after password ?

Since you have already tried the logical troubleshooting, I would suggest you to make change in the group policy and check the issue. Refer the link below:

Note: The link is for Windows 7 however the same steps has been tested on Windows 10.

Network Sharing Failure: Password Protection off still require password.

Windows 10 wants password to access shared computer - Shared computer requires no password

PC "A" is set to share with no password requirement. PC "A" also has a printer that is set to share on network. Other PCs on network can access computer "A" and print to computer "A" printer.

New Windows 10 PC, "B" can't access "A". Computer "B" asks for password when you attempt to access computer "A".

Computer "B" can't see the shared printer on Computer "A". Two other PCs on this network can access computer "A" and use Computer "A" shared printer.
