Windows 10: Windows 11 audio freezes for 5-30 seconds often when opening or closing a program

When I have audio playing and open or close a program, usually the audio will completely cut out for 5-30 seconds. I have all the latest windows updates, and this issue happens regardless of if I have the Realtek drivers from Asus's website or not. I just have to wait it out until my audio comes back each time, closing the program that caused it to cut out doesn't help. This was not an issue with my Windows 10 installation, not sure where to go from here.I have tried:Running the audio troubleshooter no issues foundUpdating WindowsUpdating+reinstalling+removing audio driversChecked event view

Windows 10 Camera Opens, but closes in 5 Seconds

MS-Windows 'Camera Window' opens, but only for about 5 Seconds, then closes.

Haven't previously used the Windows Camera on my Laptop. (Rely on my Tablet). Today, pinned Windows Camera to Task Bar, checked 'Settings\Privacy\Camera' set to 'Allow Access'
and that Settings\Camera shows 'Camera Switched On'.

Every time I attempt to use the Camera, a Window Opens displaying it, but only for about 5 Seconds, then closes.

During the 5 Seconds the Window stays open, I tried clicking the Camera Settings Cog (which responds by opening to show a list of settings) but the Camera Window still closes before anything else can be done / clicked. (Can't keep it open for longer than 5
Seconds, literally).

Running latest 64bit Windows 10 Professional on an elderly Sony VAIO Laptop (9 Years Old). Everything else working fine, as far as I can tell. Thoughts? (Thanks in advance for any Comments).

 

Any Program Starts and then 10 seconds later Closes. Why?

My system is 64 Bit Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19043 with Update 21H1
My program was working. I saved a copy of my work then later came back to continue working. The program would start then 10 seconds later would close. My programs including Teamspeak, Mobile Plans, Zoom, Windows Administrative Tools, Notepad and many 3rd party programs now all do the same thing. The only programs that will continue to work are MS Office, File Explorer, Task Manager and MS Edge. I am able to open JPG files in File Explorer.
If I go into Settings and go to Update & Security, Recovery, Reset This Computer, the routine will open but then close 5 - 10 seconds later. I can go to Control Panel, select uninstall a program and the routine will start and then close. I cannot install a program through Control Panel nor can I run Restore.exe. The programs or routines start and the close without achieving a result.
As I have indicated the computer was working well, it had not been turned off and then when I came back to do more work the above problems occurred.
Can anybody suggest the next step other than re-formatting the drive?

 

1 second mouse freezing when opening or closing programs


I have this weird issue that started when I upgraded to Windows 10. Whenever I open a program or in some cases an explorer window my mouse will freeze up for about half a second, as if the hard drive is bottle necked very briefly. I have two drives in my laptop, an SSD and a regular 750 GB hard drive. My mouse will freeze regardless of the drive that the program that is being opened is located on. This also occurs with a few specific explorer and Windows related tasks.

For example, when closing the task manager or emptying the recycling bin, the mouse does this freezing action, and while this is not a super serious issue it is rather irritating and sometimes the mouse will freeze even if there is no warrant for it. I could be simply browsing the web and it will lock up for a second. Looking at the task manager, there the HDD activity only goes up to 40-50% in some cases, so it is very annoying since there seems to be no apparent cause for this behaviour.

I have no reason to believe my drives are failing since they both check out just fine in benchmark and diagnostic programs such as AS SSD, CrystalDiskInfo and HDTune, I'm just really eager to know what could cause these mini mouse freezes. I don't believe it's a total system lock up since I could be playing music in the background and the music won't stop playing, but I'm still curious to know if anyone has had this issue and might have any information on what could be a possible precipitant.
