Windows 10: Windows 11 Audio Issues Communication & Other

Since we upgraded to Windows 11 our audio issues have been terrible. Application sounds do not play as they should they were fine on Windows 10Logging into an application mutes the entire PC/Laptop. We use communication software for our call center and setting the default device to the PC speakers and the default communication device to the headset no longer works. The audio will not work properly when set this way. We have to disable ALL devices for speaker and mic except the headset. It will work this way, but ALL sounds come straight into the headset which makes communication with peopl

Method1: I suggest you to run an audio troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter.



Method2: Uncheck the enhancement feature in sound options.

• Press X from the key board and select control panel.
• Select sounds under control panel.
• Go to advance setting and uncheck the enhancement feature and check if that helps.
