Windows 10: Windows 11 audio silent from speakers and plugged in headphones

Hi, I have a brand new lenovo idea pad 3 that isn't playing audio. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the audio drivers. I've tried updating the drivers from the intel website. I'm at a loss so far. Currently it shows the speakers are working but when I try to play any sound, the speakers are silent. I.e when I click the test button in the audio settings, it shows sound playing on the volume bar, but no audio plays from the physical speakers. When I plug in any headphones or ear buds, the computer doesn't recognize them. The only way I can get audio to play is pairing a bluetooth speaker.T

Speakers playing when headphones are plugged in

I have an HP laptop with windows 10. When my headphones are plugged in, the speakers are still playing. When I go to sounds, the only device listed is the speakers. How can I silence the speakers when the headphones are plugged in.

Just downloaded the most recent Windows 10 update. But now, even when my headphones are plugged in, I get audio from both the headphone and the internal speakers. Instead of a separate "speaker" and "headphone" sections in the sounds menu, it's listed
as "Speaker/Headphone." Surely, this is not a feature people wanted. There is no problem when using Bluetooth headphones, just the audio jack.

 

No speakers or headphones are plugged in Windows 10

Hi, so I ran the find any problem devices and nothing seemed to pop up. When running the audio trouble shooting the problem found was "low audio device volume" and when I hover over audio button with the red cross it says "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" when mine are and I got the little pop up window saying that a device had been plugged in. It's not allowing me to turn up the volume either. If I try to play sound rather than it coming out of my pc's speakers or my headphone nothing comes out
