Windows 10: Windows 11 badgering me to change my password. What password?

Windows 11 badgering me to change my password. What password? For the last few days a notification popped up telling me I had x amount of time to change my password. What password? I didn't put one in. I use my outlook email account as my Microsoft account. When I bought it I had it set up so I don't have to login.I don't understand this. Today is the day.

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???
