    Windows 11 base clock reading error preventing further updates to new build


    I have been running Windows 11 on this laptop since it has been available for insiders without any issues and then updated to the stable channel by itself. Now for some reason the computer base clock is seen as 0.79GHz. No performance issues, but looks like I can not update to new builds because of this.Please help.Device name GS66SE Processor IntelR CoreTM i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 792 MHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB 15.8 GB usable Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on ‎6/‎28/‎2021 OS build 22000.318 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.318.0

    2018-11 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057) - Error 0x80070643

    The command prompt steps, ran for me, but and repaired my update problem with this error:

    Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057) - Error 0x80070643.

    but now I'm receiving a new one: 2018-11 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057) - Error 0x80246010

    As you are facing issues with installing the updates, do let us know the following to assist you better:

    • Were you able to see any error notification along with the error code?
    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Are you able to boot in to the desktop?

    This issue might be due to the anti-virus software or corrupted Windows Update Components.

    I suggest you to hard reboot the computer and perform the below.

    Step 1: Try to eject all the external devices connected to your computer except mouse and keyboard, reboot the computer and check if the issue persists.

    Step 2: I suggest you to uninstall the anti-virus software installed on your device and check for the updates.

    If the issue still persists,

    Step 3: I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check.

    Resolves problems that prevents you from updating windows.

    Steps:

    • Press Windows key and type
      Troubleshooting
      .
    • Click on Troubleshooting and click on
      View all in the left pane.
    • Select Windows Update to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter
      and follow the on-screen instructions.
