Windows 10: Windows 11 Black Screen - AppReadiness event found in system log...

We've over the last month noted a lot of logons to PCs on our domain going to a black screen with a pointer. It does eventually go to the users desktop. You can also launch task manager and launch explorer... but that's not really a fix for users. Otherwise a reboot or two or three works otherwise the black screen lasts for several minutes... A timeout 30000 milliseconds was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the AppReadiness service.I've found and tried several reg keys and disabling it AppR

Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

no, event viewer is a system log. if you check it and look for the time you screen last blacked out, you can see what was happening on the that time.

just google event viewer + your windows version and it'll say how to find it.
