Windows 10: Windows 11 blackscreen and fan rev

Hi, my computer has been experiencing an issue for the last few months, where it will blackscreen when under load games like cyberpunk and apex legends, and the event viewer spits out a critical 41 Kernel Power issue. I have replaced my motherboard and upgraded my CPU which I thought were the issues, all my drivers are up to date, and my drives are in perfect health. I've wiped windows twice, which temporarily solves the issue. Reliability history tells me that it's a hardware error, but my parts have all been tested individually on another computer and none have recreated the error.My spec

Outlook 365 periodically revving fans on MSI laptop

I'm a happy owner of the famous MSI gf76 Katana and notice Outlook causes the cooler fans to rev up every few minutes and that will last only a few seconds.

Strange thing is, it only goes up to 7-8% but yet the Task Manager says it is 'very high'. I've looked hither and yon at different fixes but nothing seems to fit my case. I do have the updates shut off so it does not automatically update only when I want it to.

Any suggestions would be welcome as long as it is not tooooooo technical. Thanks!

 

blackscreen issue after updated to window 11

i updated to window 11 and found that there is a very short blackscreen happen. Anyone same as me ? May I know if this problem can be solved by changing setting ? ;(

Step 1:

I suggest you to update the graphics card driver from manufacturer website and check if it helps.

If the issue persists even after updating the driver, I suggest you to check whether the cooling fan is working fine. You can refer to the following steps to prevent the computer from overheating.



Step 2:

I would suggest you to check with the following steps to try and resolve overheating issues:

a) Clean air vents and check if air fan is working or not.

b) Use some software, then, check if your system's fan is working at right speed.

c) Do not use your notebook/laptop on a surface that block air vents.

d) Thermal pads might be burnt. Try replacing them with new one.

e) There might be some fault with the hardware. You can get it checked with professional expert.

f) Adjust power settings to your needs. Lower energy consumption will result lower heat generation.

g) Never leave operating laptop with closed lid. This always generates heat inside laptop. You may close lid only if laptop will automatically go into sleep or hibernation mode.

h) You may also try installing latest software and drivers from the manufacturer website.
