Windows 10: Windows 11 boots to a black screen - missing BCD file?

Bit of a long story/comedy of errors: My computer unexpectedly crashed during start up due to low battery, and Windows 11 no longer boots properly - I just get a black screen. The hardware itself is fine, and I'm successfully running Linux Mint on a USB drive right now, so I'm guessing some Windows boot files has been corrupted?In the command line, I ran bootrec /fixboot, but I got the error that "Access is denied." I then tried bootrec /rebuildbcd, and it couldn't identify any Windows installations. In an attempt to rename the BCD file and build a new one instead, I tried running bcdedit /e

BCD errors and Boot drives

My computer screen went black out of nowhere, and upon booting up I received a Boot error and recovery message telling me that the BCD file is missing. I had previously created a back up of my windows 8.1, so I grabbed my flash drive and prayed. I have
checked tobmake sure that the USB drive is the preferred boot option, followed steps from numerous other posts with similar issues, and yet the same error occurs everytime I try to boot up my computer. Even with the drive. According to the menu, the usv exists
and is readable, and through connecting the USB to a different computer I can see that the files are all there and fine. Yet the error persists. If anyone has a suggestion I would really appreciate it...

The BCD or the EFI boot partition's file system is corrupt. Rebuilding the EFI boot partition fixes this issue.

If you need step-by-step assistance in this regard, boot into WinRE Command Prompt.

Then run:

• mountvol y: /s
  
• bcdedit
  
• diskpart
  
• list vol
  

For each command, photograph the screen and upload it to OneDrive.

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.
