Windows 10: Windows 11 breaks indexing docx files

HiSinde mid december i have the same problem on 2 different PCs both running windows 11. It seems not to be broken on my other windows 10 PCs.I checked on my windows 11 pc and windows 10 pc they both have:.xls and .doc is set to "Microsoft Office Filter".txt is set to "Plain Text Filter".docx and .xlsx currently set to "Office Open XML Format Word Filter"So it seems not to be the culpritHowever, it is only the office word format *.docx that is not indexed with its content, the older format *.doc works fine. Does that help shed light on this ?It is only the docx format that does not get conten

"hidden" text in DOC files IS indexed in Windows Indexing Service, but hidden text in DOCX files IS NOT indexed

Windows Index Service does index "hidden" text in DOC files, but the Index Service does not index hidden text in DOCX files .

Any way to index the hidden text in a DOCX file?

Don't know if this is relevant, but:

I notice that in the "Indexing Options/Advanced Options/File Types" dialog box,

DOC files have a "Filter Description" of "Microsoft Office Filter,"

while DOCX files have a "Filter Description" of "Open Office XML Format Word Filter."

Perhaps the difference in the filter is the problem? Any way to change that?

.docx search issue on Windows 10

I'm using TextPad which I've used successfully since 2000 or before. This same issue with .docx existed on my Windows 7 pc. Just got a new windows 10 pc and the issue's still not fixed.

I've added .docx to the indexing options list of file types, then "rebuilt the index" in that particular folder; shutdown (not restart), and it still doesn't work. No problem with .doc files.

And I've tried every possible combination of * wildcards and direct .docx searches. It just does not recognize .docx anything.

• Have you always experienced this issue with .docx files?
  
• Were you able to add some description on your .docx files? If yes, what were the steps that you took in adding descriptions to your .docx files?
• Is this issue only happening with .docx files?
