Windows 10: windows 11 brightness dropdown broken

my computer came with the adaptive brightness setting on and i cant turn it off. ive tried every solution i can find on the internet, including BIOS, and nothing seems to help. Im thinking it stems from the fact that my dropdown is broken since thats where the setting usually is to turn it on/off. by broken i mean the button to access the dropdown to the brightness slider is there, but when i click it there is nothing that actually happens, just the dropdown arrow changing from down to up

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.
