Windows 10: Windows 11 camera app switching off and on every few seconds.

When I open my Windows 11 camera app on the hp elitebook 1040, the camera works for a few seconds, switches off, and then starts working for another few seconds before switching off again, the cycle continues that way.I've tried resetting my camera app, nothing worked

Camera App freezes after a few seconds

Thank you for providing the information. We've already tried multiple troubleshooting steps and the same issue still persists. In this case, let's try to uninstall and re-install the Camera app.

To uninstall Camera app follow the below steps:

• Type Windows in the search box and right-click on
  Windows PowerShell.
• Select Run as administrator.
• Type get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsCamera* | remove-appxpackage on the
  PowerShell and hit Enter.

You can re-install the Windows Camera app from Windows Store.

If the issue still persist, we suggest the following solutions:

• Contact the manufacturer of your Windows-based computer.
• Reset your PC.

Success in resetting Store; that produced a download of the Windows camera, despite seeing error message again, download proceeded. Screen shows MS app for Windows camera and indicates downloaded. (Camera now listed in app list.) But when Launch was selected,
no action after screen with camera icon. Eventually message appeared " something went wrong: here is message code if needed: 0x400F4271>MediaCaptureFailedEvent>0xC00D3704. We seem to be moving ahead a step at a time. Next suggestion?
