Windows 10: Windows 11 camera app video recording microphone not working privacy settings bug?

Hello,I'm trying to record a video using the webcam of my laptop with the windows camera app. I get the message that I should change my privacy settings for the camera app to be able to use microphone while recording. The privacy settings for the camera app are set correctly access to the microphone is activated. I've also tried resetting the app, didn't help.Is anyone facing the same issue?

This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
• Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

window crashes when i open camera or microphone setting in privacy

Answers to your questions:

• Yes, both are working properly before.
• Yes, i'm logged in as administrator.
• No app can use camera or microphone. All apps said to allow in the privacy setting.

And i can't really solve using the adjustment on privacy setting. 'cause as i've said before, everytime i open camera or microphone setting in privacy, the window crashes everytime.

as for the troubleshooting, it couldn't identify the problem.

 

Camera and microphone

I tried to use the camera to make a video - on Lenovo Ideapad 330S OS 10 - but the "microphone muted" message prevented the video to record.

I did the settings/privacy/microphone suggestion to no avail. I tried to get Cortana to turn on the mic but she cannot hear me. I did the steps to turn her on but she still can't hear me. Suggestions? thanks
