Windows 10: Windows 11 Can't Access Any MS Services

Hi, My work recently set up my personal laptop to remotely access a work desktop pc using Remote Desktop Connection via a VPN. Since then, my laptop can't access or sign in to many Microsoft services. Such as: the MS app store, the Windows XBox app and widgets. The MS store returns the error code 0x80131500. I appear to be still signed in to my MS account. I've tried using sfc /scannow command via an admin command prompt with no success. I'm on the verge of resetting windows, but would prefer to avoid this if possible.Thanks in advance. Henrik

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I understand that you are willing to add MS Access in 'Open with' menu in Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves the issue.

1. Right click on .mdb file, select
Open with click on Choose another app.

2. Look for MS Access from the list, if found, select it and click on
OK.

3. If not, navigate to More apps > Look for another app on This PC
and select the MS Access from the list.

4. Then on you can find MS Access default, on Open with
list.

Securing Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 services HOW TO

I will try changing their settings sometime, the one thing I've noticed about this guide is that it doesn't list the Windows services that NEED to be left as local system, so some people might not be too sure what they're doing and worry about any that aren't listed. Just a suggestion that you might want to include in any future revisions. *Smile

The non-default ones I have that you have not listed are:

The problem is that the only ones of these I actually use are The AVG and Windows Defender services and occasionally the "Service Layer" service (related to Nokia PC Suite) and the "Messenger Sharing USN Journal Reader Service" (related to WindowsLive Messenger). Anyway, I'll see how much I can secure those and post back how I get on. I'll try to test it sometime this week just I'm a bit waring of changing the AVG settings because the only way to test if it was still working would be for a virus to be detected... and I' rather I didn't get viruses!
