Windows 11: Can't see Entertainment/Gaming in MS Store; Can I delete Windows.old files?

So I just clean installed Windows 11 via USB and Media Creation Tool and I have two questions about it.- Why don't I see Entertainment and Gaming categories in Microsoft Store? I tried repairing the app via Settings > Apps > Microsoft Store > "Repair" button, but it didn't help.- Can I delete three Windows.old files?Windows.old files are the files from your old Windows that were saved in my case, Windows 10.I have three folders: Windows.old, Windows.old.000 and Windows.old.001. Can I delete any of these folders, because it's taking my C: drive space?

    :)

  2. MS Store Games

    Hi Gene,

Thank you for keeping us updated on this query.

When you download a Game or an App from Windows Store, the location where the files and folders related to the Game or an App will be located in
WindowsApps folder at Program Files which can be accessed from C: drive.

Step 1: You can search the Game or an App you downloaded using
Cortana by following the steps below:

    • Click on Start key on the Keyboard and type the game name in the search box. The downloaded game will show in the top most search result.
    • Click on the game and check if you can access the game.

Step 2: To pin the game on the taskbar, follow the steps below:

    • Search for the game using Cortana by following the steps above.
    • Right click on the game and select Pin to Taskbar option.
    • Close the window and check if the game is pinned to taskbar.

We are happy to assist you with any issues pertaining to Windows.

    Thank you.

Game not found in the xbox games hub but says it is in my collection

Some of my games end up in the app list as Jack suggests, and I've even seen some games listed in the Store Apps/Entertainment section instead of Games. I wish MS did a better job of classifying and sorting apps and games.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Windows 11: Can't see Entertainment/Gaming in MS Store; Can I delete Windows.old files? ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
