Windows 11: Can't Sign in to Microsoft Store but account works for other Microsoft access

We have a hybrid environment where we use AD sync to synchronize our on premise AD accounts with Azure AD for access to Sharepoint online and Office 365. Brand new computer shipped with Windows 10 and upgraded to Windows 11. I can sign into Azure, Office 365 and Sharepoint just fine using my AD domain account . But signing in to use the Microsoft store I get "Your account password is incorrect". I get past the account lookup just fine.Note that my work account is connected in Settings > Accounts > Access for work or school as a factor of registering and licensing Office 365 E3.Anyone in

    :)

    App store and Microsoft account

Yes. When you sign in to the Store with a Microsoft account like in step 5 in Option Two of the tutorial below instead of switching to a Microsoft account you will and stay a local account.
