  1. windows 11 certain programs window size too big and can't resize

I had Windows 10, and got upgraded online to 11 about a year ago. Afterwards, most programs work normally, most Windows programs had small font and were hard to read, but had normal windows, but certain programs were oversized, and the windows could not be resized. The window physically appears stretched out, especially horizontally. Attempts to resize the window either failit refuses to resize in any direction or cause it to drastically move to the right and far off the screenI have only 1 display. Other people seem to have similar problems but did not link it to w

That's it , I've had it with the control panel window

those icons are always in alphabetical order. it resizes to fit based on the window size, so if thats changing, then you're changing the size.

either you're resizing the window before closing it (and therefore, it opens at that size next time) or you have some kind of cleanup program (such as Ccleaner) wiping windows list of window positions and sizes.

by default, windows 7 does not resize your windows on you, OR reorganise the control panels icons in anything but alphabetical order.

  3. Resize Taskbar & Time size

Is there any way to resize the taskbar in Windows 11? Too big for me.

What about changing the time size? It's pretty small and I'd like it to be a bit bigger.

Windows 10 How to set a window size on desktop

    Hi Bairn_966,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Ideally, the Windows of the any program or the file Explorer will open in the same size as it was closed last time. However, I suggest you to follow the below steps, and check if that helps.

    1. Resize to the size of the application you want.
    2. Press the shift key and keep it pressed, then click on X or close window with mouse while the key is still pressed.
    3. Restart the System and check if that works.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards,
