Windows 10: Windows 11 challenge phrase PIN loop

I have a Windows 11 laptop, with the only sign-in method being PIN. I haven't typed the PIN incorrectly, but it tells me that I have, several times, and that I need to enter the challenge phrase A1B2C3. This takes me to the PIN screen, where I enter my correct PIN, and that gives me the following message: "This sign-in otion is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different sign-in option or keep your device powered on for at least 2 hours and then try again." I don't have another sign in option, the "Sign-in Options" is not there. Once that screen disa

First, "Challenge Phrase" is a new approach taken by Microsoft to thwarting brute force attacks or cyber trespassers. This attack involves a simple process of trying all common or likely PIN codes over and over until the correct code is finally discovered.
When a PIN gets entered incorrectly four times in a row, users are sent to a different screen where they are requires to enter a specific phrase.

May I know what are you trying to do before the challenge phrase prompted?

And what do you mean by nothing happens? Did this mean you where directed to another windows?

Kindly give further details so I can suggest or give you a step by step procedure to fix this.

Windows 11 Sign Issues with Challenge Phrase

Hello,

I am stuck in an endless loop, with the challenge phrase and pin. If i start up my laptop it asks for a challenge phrase i enter it and then enter my pincode never changed it and it worked before. Now it says "This sign in option is disabled" it is my only way to sign in on my laptop. How do i fix it?

The challenge phrase does not require you to write it down. In general, after you have entered the wrong Pin number several times, you will see the prompt:

If you want to enter it again, enter challenge phrase A1B2C3

A1B2C3 is the challenge phrase. Since you have remembered the correct password, please enter the correct password after entering.

If you are currently stuck in a certain step, or have encountered a problem that cannot be explained by the text, I welcome you to provide the corresponding screenshot here so that I can better understand.
