    Summary of the Problem:While transferring a large file from an external SSD via USB to my local drive, my Windows 11 PC became unresponsive in a very unusual way. Applications wouldn’t open, the Snipping Tool froze, Task Manager didn’t appear—even after Ctrl+Alt+Del—and system apps like Control Panel wouldn’t respond. After about 7 minutes, everything suddenly opened at once.Detailed Description:I was copying a large file around 80GB from a Samsung T7 SSD to my internal NVMe SSD. During the transfer, I tried opening Snipping Tool to take a screenshot, but it froze immediately. I then attem

    We appreciate you for trying the troubleshooting steps.



    I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Run Windows app troubleshooter.

    Refer to the below link:

    Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store - Microsoft Support

    Step 2: Run shell commands for Windows store and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Press Windows key + X and select
      Command prompt(Admin)
      to open elevated Command prompt.

    • Type the following commands.



      powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

    • Hit enter, the blackscreen will appear still for a couple of seconds. After a couple of second a new line saying C:\.... will appear.

    • Close Command Prompt.

    • Try to start the Windows Store again.

    Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile Windows 11 completely freezing up, won't run any commands :)
