Windows 10: Windows 11 connecting to wifi networks automatically, however unable to detect them/...

I've been having this problem for the past few days now, and i think its because of a recent windows update. I cannot detect Wi-Fi networks, however i can connect to them upon first boot simply by turning the Wi-Fi off and on again however the only reason i can connect to them is because my computer automatically detects the network and connects, i cannot manually connect I've tried reinstalling official drivers from hp, and I've reset my network to no avail. Attached above is a screenshot of my issue. It says no Wi-Fi networks found, but if you look at the task bar i have actually connect

Unable to find a 5g wifi network on windows 11

I have updated windows 11 on my laptop and also updated the recent drivers which include "NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows" but the wifi is unable to detect/show a 5g wifi network, what shall I do? suggestions, please

 

Laptop unable to automatically connect to university wifi

Hello,

as the Title says, ever since upgrading to windows 10, my laptop will not automatically connect to my university wifi. It simply says (translated from german) "connection to this network is impossible".
to bypass this issue i have to go to the "known networks" list and make my laptop forget the university wifi network.
after that i can manually connect to the wifi and it prompts me to type in my id and pass as it is supposed to, then it logs me in. It is (obviously) a public network, so i suppose its got to do something with security settings, but i didnt find anything that would seem to solve the issue.
things ive tried:

• change frequency of 802.11 to 20MHz only (from automatically).
• enable FIPS encryption.
• Update my network adapters drivers.
• manually type in the id and pw in the specific networks settings

the thing is, when i had win7 on this laptop it would always autoconnect to this network, it only happened after installing win10.

Hi - Just so you know, I'm marking this "problem solved". I found this online How to Solve the Windows Could Not Automatically Detect Network Proxy Settings Error. Doing the last step under #2 is what solved the problem. McAvee is still scanning incoming. McAvee & Malwarebytes still show no problems with a full scan. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
