Windows 10: Windows 11 / Contrast Themes & Update KB5007651 Version 1.0.2306.10002

Hi there, Hoping to get some support please, I am a user of the contrast themes in Windows 11, in the last couple of days something has happened to my laptop which has caused multiple blue screens after startup and running for 5-10 minutes. I have managed to stop the blue screen crashing and seems stable now but I have noticed that my contrast themes are completely gone in Windows 11 see attached there was previously multiple options and I used the night sky contrast theme. Is there any way I can get these contrast themes back? It really makes a difference to someone who is visually impaired

Which Is the latest build installed in your computer?

To check the latest build installed in your computer
Press Windows key + R and type winver.

Follow the Methods below and check.

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Press “Windows + U” to open
ease of access center.

2. Select Set up High contrast and customize as you required.

Method 2: Please follow the steps mentioned below:

• Right click on the desktop and select Personalize.
• Select Themes and click on Themes settings.
• Select any Windows default theme and check with the issue.

File Explorer Selective High Contrast mode

Hello Kacson, my name is Paul one of the community experts. I am sorry that you are having issues with your visual settings that is stuck in High Contrast Mode.

Kindly try these steps to check if it can resolve the issue.

Way 1: Turn High Contrast off via keyboard shortcut.

Press left Shift+left Alt+Print Screen to instantly turn it off.

Way 2: Turn off High Contrast through changing the theme.

Step 1: Enter theme in the search box and click Change the theme in the result.

Step 2: Choose a new theme from the offered themes excluding the High Contrast themes.

Way 3: Turn High Contrast off in High contrast settings.

Step 1: Type high contrast in the search box and tap High contrast settings in the result.

Step 2: Click the High Contrast theme (i.e. High Contrast #1, High Contrast #2, High Contrast Black or High Contrast White), choose None in the pop-up list and then hit Apply.

Update for Windows Security platform - KB5007651 (Version 1.0.2109.27002)

I ran the commands you mentioned each in turn on a Windows 11 laptop, the only hit being sfc /scannow said it found errors and fixed them. After restarting the pc and running Updates again, it no longer finds Update for Windows Security platform - KB5007651 (Version 1.0.2109.27002).

What's going on? Some of my systems install this update without a hitch, some fail, and some never list it in installed updates search results.
