Windows 10: Windows 11 copying files from remote desktop to desktop - icons not showing until manual...

Hi,I have a peculiar problem, the name of the thread pretty much says it all.When I am trying to copy and paste a document from remote desktop to my PC it wont show the document unless I manually refresh desktop. This only happens remote desktop to my desktop and not the other way around, what also works is when I copy from remote desktop to some folder on my PC, shows the files no problem. I tried different file formats and nothing works. Its not a huge issue as the files are shown after I refres the screen, but its annoying.Any help appreciated

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Remote Desktop

Okay guys need some help here before going crazy...
I am trying to setup a remote desktop connection and see exactly what the logged on user is looking at with out going through Windows Remote Desktop.

Since its local network I don't have any password or want to setup a password.

Any suggestions are appreciated

 

No icons on desktop after startup only

Have you tried toggling the Desktop icons on and off?

• Right-click on an open area of the Desktop
• Click: View
• If Show Desktop icons is already checked, uncheck it.
• Repeat the above steps a time or two.
• Check: Show Desktop icons

If no go on the above, right-click on the empty Desktop, and create a file.

Let us know if they come back on.
