  1. Windows 11 CPU requirements wrong

I have a gaming laptop which meets and exceeds the windows 11 requirements the ONLY thing stopping the install is a Core i7-7700K 2.8Ghz CPU this laptop is VR ready and runs everything at 60fps easily but its stupid to think a small laptop like a hp envy 2Ghz CPU has better support than a Asus ROG strix gaming laptop. Memory wise the Asus laptop has 16Gb where the hp one has 8Gb yes I have both laptops and cannot understand the insanity if the requirements, yet both have TPM 2.0 as well.I have been using Windows since version 3.0 and I dont see a way forward to using Windows 11 if the inst

  2. Window 11 CPU Requirements

Hi. Are you going to be expanding the list of approved CPUs for Windows 11 please? I have seen the list at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w...pported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors but this doesn't include my CPU (i5-7200U). However, my CPU more than meets the speed and core requirements (2x2.5GHz) and is more capable than many of the CPUs on your list (e.g. Celeron 6305 at 2x1.8GHz). Thanks

Windows 11 CPU not supported but meeting minimum requirements

    Hi,

maybe noone can have an easy answer here, but i'd like to know why the CPU I have on a tiny and maybe a bit old computer, an Intel Celeron J1900, which is a quad core CPU running at 2.0GHz is not supported by Windows 11 installer if the minimum CPU requirements to run Windows 11 are a 1.0GHz dual core CPU. And well, looking at the list, I'm pretty sure there are more CPUs in the same state, meeting the requirements, but not on the list, so unable to install Windows 11, even if Windows 10 runs perfectly and most probably Windows 11 will too.

    Regards.

    Windows 11 CPU requirement

Hi, Robert. I'm sorry to know you're getting this issue.
Operative system are evolving on every edition and required new hardware capabilities. Some old cpu are so powerful but lacks of those features.

This is the reason why a cpu is not listed as Windows compatibility list.

Anyway, you can install Windows 11 on your computer by creating the following Regedit record:

    Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup

    Name: AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU

    Type: REG_DWORD

    Value: 1

After this process, restart your computer and upgrade to Windows 11.

If you need anything else please let me know.
