Windows 10: Windows 11 critical process died error stuck on troubleshooting screen

Yesterday a BSOD screen appeared on my laptop with critical process died message. I have tried every single fix i could find online, from trying to:uninstall updates it says its not possible, rebooting in safe mode brings me back to the bsod and to troubleshooting screen, backing up to last saved check point can't proceed to a chk point from 2 days ago, nor the one from 2 weeks ago Command prompt tried chckdsk, scanhealth, dismerror 50 and 2, - everything i could find And finally reseting windws wich it says that it is not possible to either reinstall it with or without keeping my d

Critical Process Died - how to fix?

Try by running the hardware troubleshooter. To open the Run command, press Windows key + R, then type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic & press Enter.Then click Next to start the process.

If the problem continues, you can use other Windows troubleshooters.

1: Click the Start button, then type troubleshoot settings and press Enter.

2: Navigate to the Other Troubleshooters section.

3: A list of troubleshooters is available. Run any relevant troubleshooters that may be useful in this situation.



Corrupted or missing system files can also cause problems for Windows processes, resulting in the ‘critical process died’ error. SFC (System File Checker) can be used to replace those system files with their cached versions.

Also try by removing recent windows update.
