Windows 10: Windows 11 Cumulative Update 8/22 just destroyed my registry or something. Device problems...

Sound doesn't work. Most programs won't work. Tried to uninstall the update and now windows will not update. Removed all Sound hardware and reinstalled. Still no sound. Checked device information and this is the error. Device settings for SWD\MMDEVAPI\{0.0.1.00000000}.{8a4325b0-8d94-4117-9758-4fb745cad905} were not migrated from previous OS installation due to partial or ambiguous device match. This is a custom built PC worth thousands and your software just bricked it.. I cannot even reinstall without it forcing the update and causing it again. If you cannot get me a fix ASAP not only do you

Why 2023-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 destroys my camera?

Why does 2023-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5022287) destroy my camera on HP notebook? Recovery fixes the issue- but how could I live further?

I understand your concern about installing the Cumulative Update on your device, we will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• Are you using wired or wireless internet connection?
• Have you installed any third part anti-virus software on your device?
  

This issue might be due to the anti-virus software or corrupted Windows Update Components.

As a workaround, I suggest you to switch to wired connection (Connected the internet cable to your device) and try if you are able to install the Windows Update.

If the issue still persists, try the below,

Method 1:

Step 1: I suggest you to uninstall the anti-virus software installed on your device and check for the updates.

Step 2: I suggest you to
run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check.

Windows Update Troubleshooter resolves problems that prevents you from updating windows.

Steps:

• Press Windows key and type
  Troubleshooting.
• Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View all in the left pane.
• Select Windows Update to run theWindows Update Troubleshooter
  and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists then,

Method 2: I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps mentioned in
Reset Windows Update components
and check if you are able to find the Windows Updates.
