Windows 10: Windows 11 Cumulative Update Changing Registry...

I have a Windows 11 image that I use to set up new devices for my company. The image is set to turn off Content Delivery Manager. Once the image is loaded everything works properly. However, each time I install the next Cumulative Update for the month Content Delivery is turned back on in the Registry and Bloatware is installed on the device. It looks like the update is changing the registry for Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager back to default. How do I prevent this from happening? How do I stop the update from making the change to th

Install error - 0x800f0831 on windows 11 2022-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5012592)

I cannot install 2022-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5012592). The installation did not complete and now my computer is unstable. I have tried troubleshooting and all the steps listed in the previous post. Any changes to Windows 11 do not complete. My computer reboots several times a day and locks up at least 2 times per day.

KB4457426 Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer - Sept. 11

Windows 10 does not have such a thing as a 'Monthly Quality Rollup', but Windows 7 and 8.1 do, it's their equivalent of the Cumulative Update. This patch must be intended for W7/8.1, Windows 10 does not need (and probably will refuse to install) this update because these fixes should have been in the Cumulative update we've just had.

After installing updates on Windows 11 21H2 the autologon (AutoAdminLogon) registry key was removed

Hi everyone,

On my workstation machine I'm using autologin, the registry key AutoAdminLogon in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon is set to 1 e.t.c.

After installing the latest Windows updates :

• 2023-04 Update for Windows 11(KB4023057)
  
• 2023-04 Update for Windows 11 version 22H2 (KB4023057)
  
• 2023-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 (KB5026368)
  

I've noticed that autologon configuration was reset: registry key AutoAdminLogon was completely removed, as a result autologon doesn't work anymore.

My questions are follow:
Is this an expected behavior of installing Windows Updates?
What could be the possible root cause of this behavior?
What is the best practice to mitigate the risks of such kind registry modification during the Windows Updates installation?
