Windows 10: Windows 11 - Custom Taskbar on different Desktops

I love the ability to have multiple Desktops in Windows 11, but it would be really helpful to have a different Taskbars for each one to customize the applications I use for each Desktop. Scenerio: I have a work desktop and a personal desktop, I'd want Teams and Adobe on my Work Desktop Taskbar, but not on my personal. And on my Personal Desktop Taskbar, apps like Prime Video or Facebook would be nice, etc. I've done some searching on this and cannot find anything, so I'm guessing this is just a design limation. Has anyone found a way to do this?

Is it possible to pin different apps on a taskbar on different virtual desktops in Windows 10?

You can personalize the desktop of two computers by pinning the apps, documents and other programs to the taskbar.



Before we assist further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

• Are you referring to dual screen desktop feature of the computer?
• Do you want to personalize two different PC taskbars?

You can differ personalizing taskbar applications on different computers. You can either pin the same or differ the applications, programs or games on the computer taskbar according to the necessity.



To pin the apps to taskbar, follow the steps below:

• Click on Windows logo key on the keyboard to open
  Start menu.
• Right click on the app and select Pin to taskbar option from the context menu.
• Close the window and check if the app is pinned to taskbar.

Different taskbar for different virtual desktops.

I have a issue with virtual desktops in Windows 10. When I use virtual desktops, there is a single taskbar that is shared between all of them, for eg : say I have Task Manager open on "virtual desktop 1" and Windows explorer on "virtual desktop 2" and I
am currently on "virtual desktop 1", then in taskbar I see both Explorer and Manager open whereas on "virtual desktop 1" I can only use Task Manager.

The problem with this is that when I have multiple programs and many different Chrome windows open on different virtual desktops, the taskbar gets cluttered and almost defeats the purpose of multiple desktops.

So what I want is different "local" taskbar for each virtual desktop - like if I have Task Manager on virtual desktop 1, then I should only be able to see that in my taskbar when I am using that desktop. Is this possible ?

Moving the taskbar

You can customize your taskbar to pin your favorite apps to it, move it to where you want to display on your screen, and specify how taskbar buttons group together when you have more than one window open. To address your question, we suggest
that you follow these steps on how to move your taskbar to a different location on the screen:

• Open Settings and choose Personalization.
• Select Taskbar.
• Under Taskbar location on the screen, click the drop-down menu and select
  Bottom.
