About win 10 build 1809 dark mode white flash problem


Hello everibody

We know that there is a very annoying issue at file explorer when dark mode is enabled. (the White flash when opening folders)

But as there is no solution yet, i have the next question: is there any way to have the dark mode enabled ONLY at the Windows 10 menus (settings, devices, accounts, etc) but disabled in the file explorer?

this is to have the dark mode enabled at the modern ui but avoid the annoyances of file explorer white flash.

Dark mode shows white horizontal bar

Dark mode has some issues in the latest feature update. The fixes that I know of (not sure if it would work for you)

Try Restarting the explorer process in Task manager

Re apply Dark mode after switching to light.

If that does not help I would suggest you to roll back to 1803.

 

Change Flashing White Color of Various Windows When Opening Them ?

I have dark mode on in Firefox via the theme matching the OS color scheme, which is dark mode. But I also am using an extension called Dark Reader, and seldom if ever get the white flash issue. Might be worth a few minutes to experiment and see if you still get the flashes or not. You can always remove the extension.
