Windows 10: Windows 11 dark theme forcing another colour?

When I go to dark mode it makes my chosen theme colour a pastel light version of it which I HATE. I want the red ive always had without having to go to light mode. Is it possible to have the red that I want with dark mode? It automatically turns my red into some ugly orange. Ive used this red colour for YEARS, and I hate change.I think it's a built-in feature but it's so damn stupid! Let me choose the colour I want.The red in light mode, as supposed to be.The red in dark mode, NOT as supposed to be. How do I prevent this? I hate it.The colour I choose.The ugly orange it corrects to. Horrible.

Dark Theme

Hello,

I have Windows 10 and I like the look of the Dark Theme. I have tried to select this theme for Office and it works, mostly. However, when I use Outlook 365 the message pane retains its white colour, and there is no sun or moon icon - in the options - to
change it. How and when can I use this feature ?

Dark Theme incomplete

Hi,

This is an observation on Microsoft's incomplete implementation of the Dark Theme. I hope by raising this issue enough people will agree that Microsoft will correct the fault in Windows 10.

I have eyesight problems, specifically my eyes do not adjust to bright light. Thus, looking at a computer screen with all that white is painful. I switched on the dark theme, and I have my monitor's brightness, contrast and colour temp turned down. Together
these have helped considerably.

Unfortunately, there are still windows that do not implement the dark theme. Whilst I understand that Microsoft has no control over individual developer's implementation of a dark theme. It does have control over the windows it implements. Yet, to use a
specific example, the File Explorer does not implement the dark theme. Other windows that Microsoft has control over, do not implement it.

For me this makes using Windows very difficult and painful. I would be grateful if the Dark Theme could be extended, optionally or not, to all the windows in Windows 10.

In case you're using a custom theme, it might be possible.

I had noticed after upgrading to 1809 that themes based on AeroLite look very bad in Dark Mode; similar visibility issues as described here.

Try using the Windows default theme with dark mode on or switch back and forth between light and dark mode.

Click this one for testing:
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes -> aero.theme

It should use Aero.msstyles instead of AeroLite.msstyles
