Windows 10: Windows 11 deactivated after booting it in virtual machine

I have 2 disks for the Windows/Ubuntu dualboot on my laptop. Recently, I have been trying to make a rawdisk vmdk file from the Windows disk, and mount it in a virtual machine VirtualBox in the Ubuntu host. I have succeed to create a vmdk file, and the VM booted. However, Windows have decided that my password is compromised and asked me to log in to my account by sending me a code this is in the VM. The code never sent. I then shut Ubuntu down and booted the physical Windows and now it is deactivated because "the hardware on this device has changed". Troubleshooting returned 0xc0ea000a.

Move windows 10 pro license from virtual machine to physical machine.

I need to move a windows 10 pro license from a virtual machine to a physical machine. The license has been bought as windows 10 pro not upgrade etc. The thing is that the computer (Mac book pro) where the virtual machine used to live is now dead beyond
repair and to expensive to use. So I want to install windows 10 on a dell laptop now but I cant deactivate the old license on the virtual machine. Any suggestions?

 

Windows 11 wont run virtual machines

Hello, I have been trying to run virtual machines on my Windows 11 machine like Kali Linux but when I try to boot the virtual machines they just end up with a black screen or some error, I thought maybe it was the installation file but Windows 8.1 runs the virtual machines without any error or black screen, can you help me run these virtual machines on Win11, I use virtual box

 

Installing a Virtual Machine in Windows 10

Step #1 is to decide which virtual machine software you wish to install.

The three most popular choices are:

• VirtualBox (from Oracle)
• VMWare Workstation Player (from VMWare); and
• Hyper-V (from Microsoft)

Once you've made your choice you can find detailed, illustrated instructions for installing each one on the internet.

As a personal suggestion: You might find it easier to use either VirtualBox or VMWare Workstation Player. Hyper-V is more complicated to setup.

Between VirtualBox and VMWare, I think you'll find VirtualBox more user-friendly, and it has the advantage of allowing you to create checkpoints - backups of your virtual machine - whereas to do that in VMWare you'll need to upgrade to their (expensive!)
paid version.
