Windows 10: Windows 11 Deactivated after failed HP BIOS update and now support isn't calling back to...

Hi, bought a new laptop with a preinstalled licenced copy of Windows 11.Ran all the required updates, one of which was the horrific HP 15.37.0.0 BIOS update.This failed. Caused a blue screen. I rolled back the driver somehow and logged back in. All great, recreated my password and pin, even better, then it tells me that I have had a hardware change, my licence is invalid, it cannot and will not activate my licence, I should buy a new one.I have logged successfully 4 different call backs for support to activate my copy of Windows telephonically and received ZERO call backs.In other news, I ha

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

Support got back to me to see if the issue was resolved (it wasn't) so some more troubleshooting attempts were made. Support tried to enter some keys using the slmgr utilities. Neither key worked.

So then they went on to taking half a dozen screenshots of my system configuration, proof of purchase, and uploaded these screenshots over their secure file exchange to send off to someone else to approve giving me a new key. After about 15 minutes support gave me a new key that allowed windows to activate (until I need to update my BIOS again).

Microsoft clearly needs to figure out Windows activation after a BIOS update. This is a brutal user experience. Here's some examples of other people running into the the same exact issue. Just search for "windows activation after bios update" in Bing!

Windows 11 Pro deactivated after BIOS update

Hi,

My problem is that Windows 11 Pro deactivated itself after I updated my motherboard (MSI Z790 Carbon Wi-fi) BIOS. I updated it from 7D89v17 to 7D89v18. I haven't done any hardware changes so it should be still active. Troubleshooting doesn't help. I have been using local account so my current device is not listed on my Microsoft account. I also tried to use my Windows 10 Pro OEM activation key in the Change Product key section but it also fails. Previous BIOS updates worked fine. I have opened couple of service requests in Windows Get Help to get that agent to call me, but I haven't heard anything yet.

BIOS update should not ever break Windows activation!!!
