Windows 10: Windows 11 degraded performance/ Will investigate for the community.

Hi, I have an HP Elitebook 840 G6. I have upgraded the RAM to 32GB PC4-32000, it has an NVME SSD drive Samsung EVO I believe. Worked fine on Windows 10, battery life was decent, and fans never blew that hard. After my upgrade, however; I have noticed significant delays with opening and closing tabs, file explorer, really, anything I used to do on windows 10 has become markedly slower. My Laptop passed the Windows 11 health check application, whatever that amounts to. One might argue that the graphical requirements are higher for windows 11, though if I say if a laptop from the late 2000s can

Peculiar performance degradation/throttling

So my laptop is having this weird memory/performance degradation issue for the last little while and I'm kinda at my wits end with how to fix it. Basically everything stops working even though the memory, cpu and heat are all seem unstressed.




Everything seems fine except nothing works. The overall performance drops massively, games crash shortly after opening, video's won't play or even open, the audio completely stops working. Everything just becomes incredibly sluggish. Hibernating or sleeping just causes it to restart.

I've attempted various fixes like updating windows, all the drivers, increasing the ram, going from windows 10 to 11, changing chargers, increasing the page file massively, then even the laptop itself but nothing changes.

To me it clearly seems like it's some sort of throttling issue but I can't figure out what. As two different laptops both had the same issue, to me that suggests either windows setting or an external power. I mean, as far as I can, everything is working as it should be; the system just won't multitask to the same level as before.

Windows 11 version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.521) / Windows 10 (whatever the latest version was)

 

GPS performance degraded ol of a sudden.

It's not even a month when i got lumia 920, its gps isn't able to catch direction as it used to when it's new, its performance degraded ol of a sudden since 2 days, wat can be the reason, please suggest as GPS is very important for me.

 

Startup performance degradation...

There's an app on my system that causes startup performance degradation:





The file name in the event viewer is "Devic" and in details tab, the folder name displayed as "C:\Devic". This performance degradation does not happen every day and presumably, during the other days the start up is normal.

The issue is that there's no such file or folder name on my system. Neither the file search with Windows Explorer/TreeSize, nor registry search, running both standard and admin account could find it.

Windows Explorer is set to show hidden items, but beyond that, I don't know how to find these files and folders. Are there other ways to find these items on the system?
