Windows 10: Windows 11 deleted my photos! Plus iCloud issue

I just updated to windows 11. Immediately after updating, I noticed many of my photos were gone. Most of the ones that were saved to my desktop survived the update, but all photos in my photos app are gone. I've tried troubleshooting the method myself but I cannot fix it. Also, my iCloud is now acting weird. It won't sync and says that I do not have enough free space. I navigate through the prompts to see what's taking up space, but it says I'm only using 1.16MB of my 5GB. How do I fix these issues????? Not liking windows 11 AT ALL so far!

Steps:

1. Open regedit (Win+R, "regedit")
2. Enter key in address bar
3. Deprecate key
   • Opt A. - delete
   • Opt B. - rename something different (e.g. prefix with "_")
4. Close and re-open to observe result

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{F0D63F85-37EC-4097-B30D-61B4A8917118}

How do I get "Photo Options" to pop up once I open icloud for windows 10?

Hi Don,

There are several options that you can do to troubleshoot your iCloud
issue. We suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Uninstall and reinstall iCloud.
• Make sure that your iCloud app is enabled to both your iOS devices and to your Windows 10 PC.
• Open iCloud to check if the Photo Options window will pop-up.
• If not, create a new user profile named Test and open iCloud
  from there.
