Windows 10: Windows 11, Dell Inspiron 16 plus. Image on desktop background distorted. I right click on...

I VERTICAL crop the image I am working with to a specific size for magazine cover. I open the image; right click on "set to desktop background". Image appears as my background but image is distorted...... not specific size I have set. Horizontal images are fine. Vertical images are distorted. How do I correct this so both horizontal and vertical images show full size when setting for desktop background? Thanks much.

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus Came with Widows 11, Want Windows 10 Back

When I ordered my Dell Inspiron 16 Plus I could choose some options, but if I chose Windows 10 it wouldn't let me choose other options I wanted. I went with the Windows 11. I don't like it. Do you think those options would fight with Windows 10 if I had it installed? I think they were only storage and speed options. Thank you.

 

Dell Inspiron 16 microphone and audio problem

I have recently purchased a dell Inspiron 16 plus and have an issue with microphone and audio since the beginning.

I contacted dell support but nothing helped.

The audio problem is that I hear the distorted sound quite often. It's not constant but I always hear on start up sound as well.

The microphone is not working well. When I test it, it is only 5 to 10 % of performance.

I did uninstall and update the audio drivers. Even reset my PC and update all BIOS and drivers I could find through dell support assist and on Dell's website.

The dell support is a kind of hit and miss and some of them told me to give up on it. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

 

desktop background pictures become distorted

This is happening on two separate Win10 installations on different computers. I am running slideshows as desktop background images, and the image in the background becomes distorted with horizontal bars across the image, starting at the bottom of the screen.
I can remove the problem by moving to the 'next desktop background', but it comes back sooner or later.

Not a display driver or graphics card issue as it occurs on two separate computers and doesn't affect any other part of the computers' operations apart from the desktop background. I suspect this is something that has crept in with an update but can't find
any reference to it via Google.

Any suggestions for a solution most welcome. Screenshot below.
