Windows 10: Windows 11 Desktop Folder

Discus and support Windows 11 Desktop Folder in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I recently had to reinstall Windows 11, and thought I would do myself a favour by using the SSD for only apps, and moving all the other file activities...     Windows 11 Desktop Folder


    I recently had to reinstall Windows 11, and thought I would do myself a favour by using the SSD for only apps, and moving all the other file activities to another hard disk drive.I think I may have been too cute by a a half. Using the "Storage" option in "Settings", I changed the default location for saving documents, music etc, to my D:\ drive. At the same time I changed the location of my Desktop to the same D:\ drive - which now means I have files showing up on my Desktop I don't want/need to see. In looking at the "Storage" option in "Settings", I can't select subdirectories for the vario

    How to Activate GodMode in Windows 7

    Step 1: Right click on Desktop

    Step 2: Click create folder.

    Step 3: Name your sparkly, new folder GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and press enter.

    Step 4: Blink as the folder changes form to look like the control panel Icon

    windows 10 deleted my desktop files

    Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

    Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

    copied all files again to desktop.

    Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

    Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
    Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

    Did you download and run Brink's .bat file in Step 1 ? Lacking that, look at the screens in post 3. In Step 5 'folders of this type' defaults to each of the Windows templates for Pictures, Music, etc. If you want ALL folders to have the same List view, r-click any folder in each of the 5 folders under This PC (Desktop does not apply) and hit 'Customize this folder'. Set to 'Optimize this folder for General Items". Then follow the screen in post 3 using List instead of Details in Step 1 and you should be good to go.
