Windows 10: Windows 11 Desktop gris too large

I have a user who is having an issue with the desktop on their Windows 11 machine where they are unable to see their desktop icons because they are enlarged and showing at the top of the desktop. As far as troubleshooting, we have run updates via Lenovo Vantage it is a Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22621 , uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver from the Lenovo support site, adjusted the size of the icons, removed all icons from desktop through file explorer and added back, refreshed File Explorer, restarted a few times, changed the background, researched online, an

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the screen resolution and check if it helps.

• Right click on Desktop and select “Display Settings”.
• Under Display settings click on “Advanced Display Settings”.
• Under resolution select the resolution as ‘1966*1080’ and save the changes.

The above is wrong!

Right click on Desktop and Select View & Switch off (untick) "Align to Grid"

You should now be able to place them wherever you want

It's tied to the way the invisible screen grid works, depending on screen resolution.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
