Windows 10: Windows 11 Desktop not starting after login

After a blue screen error on my Alienware laptop a recovery routine started. When finished I tried to log into my user account. After login windows desktop did not start, just a black screen with mouse still working. I can open the task manager with CTRL ALT DEL and see all the processes however trying to restart explorer did sometimes fix it, sometimes not. I can also start CMD Shell prompt .All other users on the laptop log in just fine.Any suggestions?

• Which screen are you referring to?
• Are you able to login to Desktop?
• Are you able to see the login screen?

The power icon referred in the steps is present at the login screen. If you are able to see the login screen where you enter the password to go to Desktop, then you need to follow those steps. These steps to be followed if you are able to reach to
login screen but unable to go to Desktop.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Ok, let the powershell command run overnight
If the command didn't solve the problem, the try these steps in order:

1. Disable superfetch service
   • Empty the following folder c:\Windows\Prefetch\
   • Restart the computer
   • Si ça ne marche pas, passer à l'étape 2;
2. Disable the AppXSvc from the registry: change the "Start" key value from 3 to 4 (see the screenshot)
