Windows 11 - differences between Screen Snipping and Snipping Tool

I often take screenshots using with the Snipping Tool using the WinKey + Shift + S keyboard shortcut. Yesterday, September 26th, 2023, I received a new dialog box asking me how I'd like to open the ms-screenclip link - in Screen Snipping or in Snipping Tool.I cannot find any information regarding Screen Snipping. When I look it up on the web, every result refers to the Snipping Tool which, as far as I'm aware, has been around since the launch of Windows 10. Is this a new feature that recently rolled out? Does anyone have any information about "Screen Snipping" and how it might differ from

    :)

  2. snipping tool

    Please try this:

    Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

    Click Reset,

    Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

    Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

    Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

    • Windows Push Notifications System Service
    • Windows Push Notifications User Service

    snipping tool

After taking a screen snip using Win+Shift+S, the Windows 11 Snipping Tool allows you to save the snip, and, optionally, copy the item to the clipboard. Featurewise, how is it different from the Windows 10 Snipping Tool? Maybe I'm missing something?
