    HI, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    .skp files are usually Sketchup files, is that where those files came from and do you have Sketchup installed, it is the software used to open those files natively that provides the thumbnails in Windows.

    File explorer icons show proper thumbnails except this one......

    ....Trimble Sketchup (.skp) All I get is an icon.

    Adobe, autoCAD, photos all have thumbnails.

    FYI - I tried:
    Confirming the skp icons are associated with the sketchup application being the default program.
    I only have skp version 23 installed in the PC - older versions have been removed.
    I reinstalled skp version 23 using the repair option.
    I confirmed "Never show thumbnails - only show icons" is unchecked in folder view options.
