Windows 10: Windows 11 does not detect my headset

Hello everyone,I plugged in my headset to the audio jack on my laptop and it only seems to detect it as a normal headphone without a mic. When i first got this laptop back in 2022, it usually detects my headset. But now for some reason it no longer recognize a headset. I tried using different headset but the results is still the same.Please, help me fix this issue.Thanks.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Headset Mics not detected

This issue may have been caused by an outdated driver.

• When did you start encountering the issue?
  
• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to the issue?
  
• Is the headset detected under Device manager?

Meanwhile, to help resolve your concern, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do this, follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting, and then hit
  Enter.
  
• On the left pane, click View all.
  
• Select and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Updating your audio jack driver can help. To update driver in Windows 10, refer to this
article.

Headset only detected as "Headphones" not "Headset" - Windows 11

-- Searched for Windows 11 solutions online - spent hours reading and trying possible solutions

-- Searched for specific headphone manufacturer solutions

-- Updated all of the system drivers

-- Updated Windows 11

-- Updated the device firmware and drivers

-- Removed device and re-paired BT several times

-- Used "Add Device" button for pairing in the sound settings "Input" section

-- Ran the troubleshooter - doesn't work because the microphone cannot be selected on the list of devices

-- Checked app permissions - "Let apps access your microphone" is turned on

-- Verified that Zoom is on the list of allowed apps with microphone access

-- Inspected device details and settings

My old laptop with Windows 10 lists "Voice" and "Music" when the headphones are connected. There are also two options when selecting the audio device on Windows 10 named "Headphones (Stereo)" and "Headset (Hands-Free AG Audio)". Windows 11 does not give these options.

Nothing has worked to resolve this problem. Any help or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
