Windows 11 does not detect my specific audio device.

Hi. Ever since I upgraded Windows 10 to 11 I have had some problems with audio that, while not ground-breaking, are definitely annoying. The main one and one that has been bugging me for quite a while, has to do with audio output devices, specifically with headphones, but mostly headsets. There is a division between my laptop's audio output device and one that says headphones "Speakers" and "Headphones" RealtekR Audio to be more specific. I remember that, with Windows 10, whenever I connected a device it would both, show/recognize the device's specific name and change sound towards it aut

  2. How do I fix 'Intel High Definition Audio' device not detected in Windows after dual-booting with Ubuntu 24?

    Hello Windows Community,

I recently dual-booted my system with Ubuntu 24 alongside an existing Windows installation that was working fine. However, after setting up Ubuntu, I noticed that my Windows audio is not functioning properly. The Device Manager shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark next to 'Intel High Definition Audio' under Other devices, indicating that no audio device is installed.

Here are the steps I've already taken:

    1. Checked Device Manager and attempted to update drivers using 'Search automatically for drivers'. This did not resolve the issue.
    2. Restarted the system several times to see if it would automatically detect and reinstall the audio drivers.
    3. Verified that the audio hardware is recognized and functional in Ubuntu, confirming it's a Windows-specific issue.
Could someone please guide me on how to resolve this issue? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  3. Windows 11 messed up audio devices

Hey all, I just upgraded to windows 11 from 10, and now all my audio devices are messed up. I used to have it as my speakers that are plugged into the front audio port, and my headphones/mic plugged into the back. They were listed as 2 separate devices that I could toggle between. Since I went to 11, it is now showing as 1 audio device only and the audio plays from speakers and headphones at the same time. any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks
