Windows 10: Windows 11 does not recognize CFExpress Type B/XQD card reader

Hello Support Team,Windows 11 Home does not detect my CFExpress Type B/XQD card reader, it is brand now, so, I do not know if the reader was detected before any Windows update.I tested the reader in another computer with Windows 11 Pro and it works fine.Please help me solve this issue.Thanks.

CFexpress Type B Card Readers not recognized on Windows 10 PC

Sometime in the last month, my Windows 10 PC has changed. I didn't install any new programs. When I insert my Sony MRW-G1 CFexpress Type B Card Reader, the drive letter isn't displayed on Windows explorer, so I can no longer access the card. I also have a ProGrade Digital CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SDXC Dual-Slot USB 3.1 Card Reader. The SD Card slot does appear on explorer, but not the CFexpress Card slot. Both of the card readers do work on a different windows 10 PC that I own. Looking at the drivers that the PCs use, the versions of the drivers are different. Both PCs have current Windows 10 updates installed. I contacted Sony and they suggested I call MS. I called MS and an agent took control of my PC and rebooted my PC, after which I could no longer see what was going on. Several hours later, I was able to log into my PC, but it still doesn't work. I have googled for hours and can't find drivers, or a resolution to the issue, but see a number of other people having a similar issue. Has anyone found a resolution for this issue?

Update - the drivers that are used on the bad PC were updated on 10/29 (disk.sys, EhStorClass.sys, partmgr.sys) along with a lot of other drivers. I checked windows update history and there was one windows update run on 10/29 -

2023-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031445)

On the good PC, those files are older versions and that update was never applied. I tried uninstalling it, but the option wasn't available. So, I have no options at this point.

Sorry to know you're encountering this issue. Unfortunately since we don't have this hardware so I am afraid we are not able to test in on our side for you.

I found on SONY's website that this model comes with a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable, please try both of them and to different Type-C/Type-A ports.

If you would like to uninstall an update, you can go to Settings - Windows Update - Update history - Uninstall updates.

And BTW, if you're using this PC for working and need to keep it stable, I will suggest we using the stable build, rather than the beta/release previous insider build.
