Windows 10: Windows 11 does not see Printer

Computer; Windows 11Printer HP officeJet Pro 6978The printer showed it was Offline. When I ran Windows printer Troubleshooter...it showed printer was Turned off...but printer was definitely On.I unpluged printer...Restarted; same issuesI Restarted PC...same issuesPrinter is a Network printer ethernet to RouterI had downloaded full driver\Software version for this printer from HP.comI decided to deleted printer software and driver and re-install clean version.When software Install starts it looks for Printer...you cannot install the software with out the Install first discovering the printer.

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press Windows/Start key.
• Type Devices and Printers and then tap or click Devices and Printers.
• Press and hold or right-click the printer you want to use, and then tap or click
  Set as default printer.
