Windows 10: Windows 11 does not show Login screen after update

1 - Stock install of Windows 11 Home by the manufacturer2 - Windows Update3 - Changed edition to Pro.4 - Updates again.This setup used to work just fine for last 2-3 months when suddenly new updates appeared and installed. I am pretty positive this was not 24H2 update.5- After update, Windows boots fine, but does not present login screen. I let the computer run for 2-3 hours to see if it is updating behind the screen. Rebooted multiple times, but each reboot works fine but log in screen again fails to appear. Since I can't log into windows at all, I am limited in terms of what I can do.Any hel

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:



edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

 

List of users is missing in Windows login screen after one of the Windows updates.

After one of the recent Windows update, the list of users does not show up in Windows login screen and I cannot find any way to switch to a different account during login or after. Any suggestions?

 

Unknown user account at windows 10 login screen

I have the same issue but I have 11 users and now on the log in screen I have 11 user names and 11 of the "password" with the "key" next to them. So, that's 22 logins on the lock screen. The "password" logins are actually the users. I am trying to get rid
of the "password" tabs so only my user names show on the login screen. I checked for the registry folder you mentioned and it is not in the list.

Any other suggestions?
