Windows 10: Windows 11 doesn't recognise BRIO 4K Stream Webcam for Windows Hello

I've just gotten a brio 4k stream edition recently and everything works fine, except for windows hello.As you can see it doesn't recognise it as a compatible camera, even though it is a windows hello compatible camera. I've made sure everything is up to date, I've tried resetting the biometrics service on windows, reinstalling the camera's software, tried reaching out to Logitech but help hasn't been great, tried different ports, reinstalled windows hello but it still doesn't work.

So I have been trying to solve an issue where my Logitech brio 4k (stream edition) doesn't seem to work on windows hello, now I've checked and the webcam is indeed compatible, so why when I go to setup windows hello with my webcam it either says right away that my webcam couldn't be turned on, or it loads for a while then it says that my webcam couldn't be turned on, and in both instances my webcam just flashes red, and my webcam also doesn't pop up in the camera's section in device manager, I don't even have the section in device manager, if this is needed with my issue I am currently running "Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2"

 

Windows Hello fails to work with Logitech Brio 4k Stream Edition Webcam

Exactly the same problem here. The Brio 4K camera works fine everywhere else (and indeed, was working with Windows Hello until recently) - but now gets to the point where Windows Hello starts with "Getting Ready" before telling me that it couldn't turn on the camera. Need to authenticate via PIN. It's as if something has grabbed control of the camera and Windows can't use it.

In this case, I'm running Windows 11 Pro, 21H2, OS Build 22000.469.

 

Set default Webcam for Windows Hello?

I´m using a Dell Laptop with built in webcam which is Hello capable and I also use a Dell WD19TB docking station on which I have a Logitech Brio 4K connected (also Hello enabled).

Usually it works fine: If connected to dock, the (external) Logi Brio is used to face unlock. And if I unplug from dock, it also works fine with the internal cam.

But from time to time when connected to the dock/Brio, Windows uses the internal cam for Hello. And as the lid is closed, it doesn´t see me. And then I´m stuck in this stage. Reboot, un-/replug etc doesn´t help, sometimes disabling internal cam in device
mgr brings brio back as default, but not always.

I´ve already searched for the option to "set as default" but the Logitech Brio on W10 2004 is
missing this option.

Also disabling the internal cam in device manager is
not a solution for me as Hello doesn´t work without dock.

In MS Teams for example the cams work fine with no issues at all.
