Windows11 Pro x64, 22H2, Build 22621.1265With no prior issues, attempting to open in Windows Explorer the Downloads folder just results in "working on it" at which point Explorer hangs. The contents of the folder are never displayed, and Explorer freezes. Only using Task Manager to End Task can Explorer be shut down. Shutdown/Restart has no effect. chkdsk run shows no errors. sfc /scannow shows no errors. Right clicking on the Downloads folder in the navigation pane resulting in a menu, then selecting Open in New Window generated a new window showing all the contents. I copied that to anot

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows Explorer crashing due to large files

So I downloaded project reality a mob for BF2 I used uTorrent to download the file and it check to make sure it wasnt corrupt.

Everytime I try to do anything with the file windows explorer hangs and I have to restart it.

This is the same for the old version of project reality. I cannot delete it.

I have never had this happen.

The files in question are 1.8 GB
