Windows 10: Windows 11 Error Code 0x80070003 Default Storage Location

I am having an issue with Windows 11 where I am unable to change my Default Save Location on my computer. Before the upgrade on Windows 10 I was able to choose where to download my files and games. When I try to change it, the Delete Other Apps pop up appears, which I do not understand either. Once I click yes then it gives me the error code.

Error 0x80070003 Couldnt set default save location, xbox game pass

hi, Im trying to install xbox (beta) game apps to the d:\ (game installs) yet it wont let me unless its the default app directory.

i also cant change the default app directory from c:\ to d:\ idk why. attached in the error message 0x80070003.

I read here that 0x80070005 is denied access so i tried the icacl solution in command prompt, but it didnt help. any ideas?

I fixed it, by removing all my "d:\game_installs" and Steam_directory off the drive, formatting the drive, and then changing location of windows 10 default apps. it took about 2 hrs to move everything :S theres gotta be an easier way to manipulate microsoft apps and folders than formatting a drive?

I suggest you to follow the steps given in the link below and check if it helps you. Select Windows 8.1 from the Product list.

Fix Windows Update errors

Can't change default storage location / error Error 0x80070005

Hi I've bought flight simulator 2020 and I'm trying to download it however it tells me I can't download it because '' this location is not setup for installing games ''.

it is in Dutch btw,

When i try to change it from my ssd to hdd it gives me an error code = Error 0x80070005

I found quite a lot of same posts on the internet about it. They you to give your self full permission in the packages folder. I already have that however. The help ends here from the internet and I don't know what to do now.
