    Windows 11 - error downloading application


    When installing updates from Windows everything works, but when I try to download applications from fx. Ashampoo or Nero I get an error message: Unsuccessful - Download error.How can I get around this??I have used both Chrome and Edge with the same result.

    List the EXACT "blah, blah" you mention, here please... for ALL installation cases!

    (Sound like a possible "DLL-Hell" issue, but "Windows File Protection" &/or "System File Protection" should have countered for this... no biggie, there's ways around that too!)

    Windows Won't Update? (Error 0x80d0602)

    When I get to the step that says del %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\qmgr*.dat, nothing happens.

    When I get to step 5 and type in
    • regsvr32.exe mshtml.dllN
    It gives me this:

    Who's downloaded the Windows 8.1 preview update?

    For some reason the installer says the update is not applicable to your computer? (Win 8 Pro x64) anyone else try this what was released today?

    EDIT: It appears the error is because the download is named Windows8-RT-KB2849636-x64 so looks like it's only for ARM based RT Windows 8 versions even though there's nothing suggesting that on the actual download page, so where's the x86 8.1 update people?
