Windows 10: Windows 11 EVENT 1108 The event logging service encountered an error while processing an...

Hello.This error has occurred even on a fresh install of Windows 11, I cannot seem to fix this. The steps I have taken are...Disabling all auditing.auditpol /set /category:* /success:disable /failure:disable auditpol /get /category:* Seem to set all to `No Auditing`.What's strange is that with either auditing enabled or disabled, the error still occurs and is also spamming the Event Viewer.Please help, thanks again.

"Windows Event Log" service not starting

When I start the "Windows Event Log" service I get the following error:

Windows could not start the Windows Event Log service on Local Computer.

Error 15008: The specified xml text was not well-formed. See Extended Error for more details.

Any suggestion on how to make this sevice work again?

Event viewer error with event id 10016

I understand that you are getting an error “DistributedCOM 10016” in the event viewer logs.

• Do you face any issues on the computer?
  
• Have you made any recent changes to the computer?

This problem may occur if either of the following conditions is true:

• A program with the class ID (CLSID) that appears in the message tries to start the COM component by using the DCOM infrastructure. However, the user does not have the required permissions to start the COM component.

• The Network Service account does not have the correct permissions.

Event logs are special files that record significant events on your computer, such as when a user logs on to the computer or when a program encounters an error. Whenever these types of events occur, Windows records the event in
an event log that you can read by using Event Viewer. Advanced users might find the details in event logs helpful when troubleshooting problems with Windows and other programs.

If you do not have any issues with app or any other program I would suggest you to ignore it.

whoops, just found more. over thirty of these in one day: the event logging service has encountered an error while processing an incoming event published from microsoft-windows-security-auditing.
